My parents want to know more about this loom. They say it has no markings that identify its maker.
The fabric is not part of the loom -- it's just a cover over whatever's against the wall behind it.
If you can help identify this loom, please send mail to Wayne Conrad.
One reader sent this:
"The loom is what is called a "Hand Loom". They were primarily made by individuals in the 1800s and early 1900s. Today they are made to use to make fabric samples. The one in the picture looks like it may have been made by someone who made furniture. It does look old. Probably from the late 1800s to early 1900. It would be interesting to know how wide the loom is between the two uprights. This would tell us whether or not the loom was made for clothing fabrics or for samples."
